The head quarter of Institute of Buddhist Learning & Practice (IBLP) was established by His Eminence Khejok Rinpoche in Sydney in 1989. Since then, many branches bearing the same name of IBLP have been founded by Rinpoche and his disciples throughout Australia, Southeast Asia and Canada.

The IBLP,with its many branches,are dedicated in spreading the teachings of the Buddha, especially as taught by Je Tsong Khapa and the Gelugpa tradition that he founded. A regular program of devotional prayers, meditation sessions, talks and teachings is offered at each of the IBLP branches. Most of the courses are taught by IBLP's founder and root guru His Eminence Khejok Rinpoche and highly qualified masters who serve as resident teachers and guest speakers,while some of the beginners' courses are presented by experienced ordained and lay disciples of His Eminence.
