Debate training and logic form an important part in the education of Buddhism. It is traditionally taught and practiced in open courtyards. The historical Dhe-Tsang Monastery did not have a Debating Court althougphilosophical debate was taught. A prophecy told about 100 years ago by a great master mentioned that there would one day be a Debating Court for the education of monks. This Debating Court was built in 1997 and has very beautiful murals.
